As the only UK festival dedicated to presenting the music of living composers, the Vale of Glamorgan festival is a unique event in the country’s musical calendar. This year they will be paying particular tribute to three composers celebrating ‘significant’ birthdays in 2016: John Metcalf, Pēteris Vasks (both 70 this year) and Steve Reich who turns 80 in October.
