This summer we have had a great array of design projects from animation and website design to programme, ticketing advertising and display, for festival  clients across the arts, theatre, music and education sectors.

HAY FESTIVAL 30

Hay Festival brings readers and writers together to share stories and ideas in sustainable events around the world. The festivals inspire, examine and entertain, inviting participants to imagine the world as it is and as it might be.

Nobel Prize-winners and novelists, scientists and politicians, historians and musicians talk with audiences in a dynamic exchange of ideas. Hay Festival’s global conversation shares the latest thinking in the arts and sciences with curious audiences live, in print and digitally. Hay Festival also runs wide programmes of education work supporting coming generations of writers and culturally hungry audiences of all ages.

We are very proud to continue our long creative partnership with the Festival and celebrate with them this year, their 30th Anniversary with the design of the official logo and programme.

The Lower Machen Festival brings young musicians to its heart to perform in concerts with established artists, provide platforms for emerging artists and to introduce young families to their first concert experience. A main theme running through the 50th anniversary year is singing with far reaching potential and reflecting the rich heritage of Wales.

The Oxfordshire Science Festival is held every year in June – it’s a week long celebration of all things scientific in and around the historic city of Oxford. Savage and Gray Design Limited have worked with the festival team for the past two events, developing branding, brochures, street dressing, invites and posters. The festival offers something for everyone, from hands-on events to in-depth discussions.

COWBRIDGE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Cowbridge Music Festival was started in 2010 by Mary Elliott-Rose and Sam Edwards. They saw the town with its beautiful medieval church and vibrant community as the ideal setting for such a venture and thought that a festival of the finest chamber, vocal and instrumental music would be a great addition to its musical life.

It takes place in the early autumn a good time for some of the finest musicians of Wales and the rest of Europe to descend upon Cowbridge with two weeks of world-class music making.

One of the most cherished aims of the festival is to make great classical musical completely approachable, enjoyable and entertaining, never ‘high-brow’ or elitist.
